Tsomoriri to Kibber Trek – The Trek through the ancient Pashmina route starts from the Nomads headquarter of Korzok, near the Tsomoriri Lake approximately 240 kms from Leh. It has wonderful walk along the Tsomoriri Lake, Parangchu with excellent landscape and climbing to Prangla Pass (5588m) with 3 hours walking on the Glacier. It was traditional route to reach Leh when Spiti was part of Ladakh. And in 19th Century Britisher used this route to enter into Highland of Ladakh to get high quality Pashmina. For Changpa nomads it’s an important trade route even today, they sell their sheep and goats in Spiti, in return they get wheat, barley, cloths and other stocks for the cold winter. The trek finishes at Kibber village the highest village in the world and drive to Kaza, the biggest town of Spiti.
